Party Island - Koh Phangan

About time I wrote a post again, have been getting a bit lazy letting Raymo post everything while we are too busy finishing off our crates of VB ( Victoria Brew I think - good stuff).

After all the travelling throughout Vietnam, I must admit we were all relieved to finally make it to the party island that Kho Phangan is. Even the change of weather after we were washed out in Vietnam was a welcome. Settled in at the Seaside resort on Sunset Beach, which is the opposite side of the pier from Sunrise beach where the full moon party is held. Must say, a class spot and defo stay there again when ( not if) we go back another year, maybe next!

As im sure you have read in Rays post on the Full moon party, we met a few brilliant people along the way and had a great laugh. Have to give a special mention to John from Cork, as he wants his sayings posted online: you see we made up a few words and now not only us know what they mean.
Satellite = spacer eg: John is a complete satelite ( translating as John is a complete spacer )
Sofa'd = wrecked eg: we were completely sofa'd for a week - Dont need translation on that
Anyway you had to be there type of thing if it does'nt sound funny !

Luckily enough the 'gang' are all either in Oz now or heading that way so hopefully we will all have a reunion on the 2nd week of January when the boys arrive back over and Jill and John hopefully change their plans and arrive in Sydney.

The full moon party itself was class as you can see in the pics below.Id imagine that there were about 20,000 people on the beach if not more, so you can imagine how surprised i was to run into a few lads from back home: Gibbo, Ed, Boland and Jack, had a good laugh one night with the lads so cheers for that lads. Never been to anything like that in my life and its brilliant, had a great week altogether. By the Monday after we were all completely sofa'd so it was great to get to Kho Tao, which was meant to be relaxing drink wise , but obviously it wasnt gonna turn out like that !
