Perth Update

Been in Perth a little over a month now. Stayed with Becky and James (who I met fruit picking last year) in Wembley for three weeks, which I really appreciated. I hope I wasn't too much of a burden, but I think they enjoyed me staying and my ever improving cooking skills. It gave me the chance to get my bearings and set the wheels in motion for finding a new place to live and seek a job in the city.

Fremantle - South Perth

A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon is down at Fremantle, home to Western Australia's largest port. We got the train down the south line only taking 30mins from the city. Every weekend there is a massive indoor market and performances to occupy the thirsty crowds. We saw a few good street performers throughout the day entertaining the kids and throwing in the odd adult humor to keep smiles on the dials and hands clapping.

Getting Some More Aussie Sports Under The Belt

It was Sunday 1st February when we headed across to East Perth, home of the famous Waca cricket ground. Blessed with great weather, which has been pretty much the case since I've been in Australia, the oval pitch looked a great sight for the days events. The sold out game was in high demand due to the Australia team rarely making it over to Western Australia, preferring the more populated East.
