Perth Update

Been in Perth a little over a month now. Stayed with Becky and James (who I met fruit picking last year) in Wembley for three weeks, which I really appreciated. I hope I wasn't too much of a burden, but I think they enjoyed me staying and my ever improving cooking skills. It gave me the chance to get my bearings and set the wheels in motion for finding a new place to live and seek a job in the city.

I moved in with an Ozzie named Tim in the Leederville area after viewing a handful of places. I'm really happy where I am, have my own room, wireless broadband and Foxtel, so I cant complain plus Tim is sound and really easy going. With the CV all finished this week I will begin to apply for various engineering positions around the city. I'm waiting on on a few items to be sent over from Brisbane for interviews and meeting agencies so by the end of next week I hope to be well on the way of obtaining something interesting.

Apologies for the lack of posts. With moving, job hunting and the disappointing news that my laptop being lost in the post I will try and keep the blog entries flowing adleast once a fortnight.

Just a quick mention to something which was brought to my attention yesterday. My good friend back home Gareth Maher is doing a smashing job on his on Irish soccer blog. Gaz is the Irish Football Editor for Setanta Sports and writes daily updates on current Irish soccer news and topics. I read a few last night and was impressed except for the Kevin Kilbane post where his nickname "Killer" was never used. You can find a link to the blog on my sidebar under Other Blogs.
