I think maybe the casino was a bad call last night along with the numerous free JD and cokes. Adleast now I've a new lucky number, 17 black. It came good.

Flying out today, starting possibly the best year of our lives. Feeling a little apprehensive, to be expected I suppose. Still haven’t got my head around what were actually doing. No time for worrying now though, it’s going to be immense.

Had some good news yesterday. A good friend from college, Joey, is joining us on the Asia leg. He's an Offaly man with a good sense of humour ...

Mum Down Under

Mum arrived mid March after spending a couple of days in Hong Kong visiting friends. She had no real plan for the next five weeks in Sydney but was open to any suggestions we could come up with. I don't think she realised just how much she would enjoy the whole experience.

Using Sydney as her main hub, Mum got to see and do of what Australia could offer. It's helped allot that I wasn't working at the time. I could trip around the city and see all the attractions the rest of the lads in the house didn't have ...

Welcome Back - The End Of Another Year & The Begining Of A New Chapter

Leaving Dublin back on the 9th December was definitely a big decision, but weighing everything up, working abroad and living in another country is right for me now. Family and friends will be missed for sure along with the small home comforts, but you cant have it all.

Only a couple of hours into traveling and I missed my flight in London to Bahrain by five minutes, drama already. I blame BMI for leaving Dublin twenty five minutes late. Like Ryanair, BMI state a longer flying time than it actually takes, allowing them to be always on time, very annoying. ...
