Hey people!
We've finally arrived and first thing is first, Dubsdownunder has officially become four from three. We met Joey at Bangkok airport, he flew in from Melbourne yesterday morning to travel asia with us, and what a mental night we had last night.

Bangkok is absolutely mental, it's so busy, everywhere u go people are offering you stuff, but it's also well cheap. A bottle of beer is about a euro, but get double during happy hour, so two beers ( heineken, tiger or Singha, which is what ive been drinking, its lovely) only costs just over a ...

Bangkok

Definitely the best part of Bangkok was the 1st class sleeper out of there. For me the city really had little to offer accept congested traffic consumed in a thick smog.

We stayed in a nice 3 star hotel situated in the busy part of the city. Outside numerous stalls lined the street selling cheap but very usable goods. We didn't end up buying that much. We spent the majority on food which was a big plus even if you didn't quiet know what you were eating.

The name of the game in Thailand - is survival. The place is mental, and money is the reason. A small bit goes a long way, in the case of the locals especially. We had an elephant trek / hiking tour for 3 days in Chiang Mai, well outside of it. It was a great experience and certainly my 1st time out of civilisation as it is, no phones, no tv, nothing , just yourself and a few mud huts and a deck of cards. Only plus was a few Thai whiskeys and Chiang Beer ( 6.4 % ) which ...

Well i've finally got up of my arse and decided to type something bout the trip so far. I'll start off like Dave and Ray and slate bangkok from the outset. "what a kip" was eco'd by all the lads on the over-nite train outta their last week. Their wasn't a good word to be heard, the closest thing was "Thank Fcuk it wasn't raining". I could only descrbe it as a city made up of one type of street - Moore Street!!! The sights and smells were well funky and that was the main streets, if you go off ...

Welcome Back - The End Of Another Year & The Begining Of A New Chapter

Leaving Dublin back on the 9th December was definitely a big decision, but weighing everything up, working abroad and living in another country is right for me now. Family and friends will be missed for sure along with the small home comforts, but you cant have it all.

Only a couple of hours into traveling and I missed my flight in London to Bahrain by five minutes, drama already. I blame BMI for leaving Dublin twenty five minutes late. Like Ryanair, BMI state a longer flying time than it actually takes, allowing them to be always on time, very annoying. ...
